Official says Moscow–Kazan toll highway can cost 550 bln rbl
MOSCOW, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- A toll highway to be built between Moscow and Kazan will cost 540–550 billion rubles, First Deputy Transport Minister Innokenty Alafinov told reporters on Friday.
“Speaking only about this segment and excluding a road to bypass the city of Tolyatti which has a separate meaning for transport, the cost of the Moscow-Kazan road project is about 540–550 billion rubles, of which at least 30% will be private investments,” Alafinov said.
The active stage of the project can start in December, he said.
CEO of state highway operator Russian Highways, also known as Avtodor, Sergei Kelbakh said on Tuesday that Avtodor will start works on a 729-kilometer high-speed told highway from Moscow to Kazan in October. The road will become a part of the Europe–China highway link.
